Grapefruit Diet

The grapefruit diet is low-calorie diet which is based on assumption that the grapefruit contains “magical” substance. When that substance is in your body along with proteins it leads to burning fat and causes weight loss. This diet was very famous back in the thirties and was known as The Hollywood diet.

Sample meal plan

Breakfast:

  • 2 eggs
  • 2 thin slices of bacon
  • Coffee
  • ½ grapefruit or one glass of fresh grapefruit juice

Lunch:

  • meat salad
  • ½ grapefruit or one glass of fresh grapefruit juice

You can prepare any kind of meat and prepare it as you like it. Eat until you are fed.

Dinner:

  • red/green vegetable or salad with unlimited amount of fish or meat
  • ½ grapefruit or one glass of fresh grapefruit juice

Snack before sleep:

  • One glass of milk or tomato juice

Diet rules !

Don’t drink more than one coffee a day.

Don’t eat between the meals.

Drink a lot of water, at least liter and a half.

Always have the recommended amount of grapefruit.

The diet takes 12 days and during this time you can lose 5 kilograms. If you want to continue the diet make at least pause of 2 days.

Attention: If you are on some kind of medication skip this diet because it’s proven that grapefruit combined with some medicine may be dangerous for your health.
